In attempt to find out how to best answer the girls we started reading the Bible together, and listening to Christian radio. We didn’t attend church for a while. Christian radio was our church.
I would put on my clothes and I would tip [toe] out in the middle of the night to go gamble. In a week he would get paid. He would give me money to go buy the groceries. I’d go gamble every bit of it.

Really, I wanted to die. I was doing all the things that were killing me anyway. I had so much pain, hurt, and hatred I didn’t know how to process any of it.
The next morning I woke up my wife, and said, “We’re going to church.” She laughed and said, “Is there a wedding? Did somebody die?”, because we hadn’t been to church in years.
There was a different atmosphere around me. The darkness and the evil was gone. I had love in me for the first time.
By the time I was thirty I had experienced five failed marriages. I felt like I could do nothing right;
